Your Right to a Good Faith Estimate
Under the No Surprises Act (effective January 1, 2022), you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of the expected costs of your healthcare services before you receive care. This notice applies to clients who are uninsured or who choose not to use their insurance benefits (self-pay).
About This Estimate
A Good Faith Estimate is not a contract and does not require you to obtain services from Sonqo Institute, PLLC. It is an estimate only — actual charges may differ depending on the services provided.
Estimated Service Costs
Individual Therapy Sessions
- Session Rate: $100.00 per 50-minute session (self-pay)
- Sliding scale fees may be available on a case-by-case basis. Please contact us to discuss your specific situation.
Estimated Annual Cost (Example)
If you attend weekly therapy sessions for one year (approximately 52 sessions):
- Estimated Annual Cost: $5,200.00
If you attend bi-weekly sessions for one year (approximately 26 sessions):
- Estimated Annual Cost: $2,600.00
These are estimates only. Your actual number of sessions will depend on your individual needs and treatment goals, which will be discussed collaboratively during your care.
Additional Costs
- There are no additional fees for standard session materials or resources shared during therapy.
- If additional services are recommended (such as psychological testing or specialized assessments), a separate Good Faith Estimate will be provided at that time.
Insurance
If you are using insurance through Headway, your out-of-pocket costs will depend on your specific plan, deductible, and copay. Please verify your benefits through Headway prior to your first session.
Your Rights
If you receive a bill that is $400 or more above this Good Faith Estimate, you have the right to dispute the bill. For more information about your rights under the No Surprises Act, visit cms.gov/nosurprises.
